About As a Man Thinketh

As a Man Thinketh is an inspirational book that provides common sense guidance and solutions to everyday life.  Borrowing from Proverbs 23:7, “as a man thinketh in his heart so is he,” it explains why people do the things they do and sheds light on why people are living in the conditions that they are in. The main message of the book is that all circumstances are a direct result of our thoughts.  The author, James Allen, insists that we are the master of our fate and are made or unmade by our thoughts.  Allen wasn’t happy with the book but he reluctantly published it in 1902 after encouragement from his wife, it went on to be his most popular and bestselling book.  As a Man Thinketh is written in a very inspired and often poetic style.  Most quotes attributed to Allen are taken from this book.
